About This Plan

This Log Cabin inspired home features a rough hewn timber log exterior which includes a front covered porch and timber trusses in the simply constructed gable roof. The interior floor plan is highlighted by approximately 1,040 square feet of living space in the two storied home which features one bedroom and one bath. It is ideally suited for a vacation home or weekend getaway for a small family or young professional couple and the 24’ width and 30’ depth dimensions fit perfectly in a small narrow lot. The expansive front deck spans the length of the home and provides great entertaining and relaxing space for family and friends. Upon entering the home, an open concept living floor plan is revealed which introduces an abundance of space. The great room features a corner warming fireplace and there is an adjoining dining space. The U-shaped kitchen is highlighted with a peninsula breakfast/snack bar, a separate pantry, double sink window views and plenty of additional counter and cabinet space. The single bedroom is spacious with generous closet space and great window views overlooking the side and rear yards. There is an adjacent bath which houses a space for a claw-foot tub, a vanity, a toilet area and the laundry facilities. A 320 square foot loft area is accessible from the great room where balcony overlooks onto the main living spaces is featured. The loft space, itself, is quite large and could be used as additional sleeping quarters, a second entertaining space and/or as a writer’s or artist’s studio. Double storage spaces lines the perimeter of the loft area and provide organization and management of seasonal items and other gear. A spectacular exterior and an efficient interior floor plan provide a fully functional vacation home with plenty of usable interior and outdoor space.
