What's not included: House plans do not typically include mechanical, plumbing, or truss drawings. Additionally, some jurisdictions require a local architect or engineer to make adjustments to the plan to comply with local building codes. We advise you to check with your local building department regarding codes. For more information, visit the What's Included in Our Plans page.
Set back deep in the woods, this Log Cabin home would be ideal for the outdoorsman, family members or a group of like minded friends. Alternatively, the home would make a splendid addition to waterfront property and provide a spacious and comfortable place to relax and unwind. The rustic exterior is highlighted with rough hewn timber logs, a simple gable roof with log supports and the top portion of the gabled inset resembles a hay pitching door. The remainder front exterior features plenty of window views, double French door access into the home and a front porch that spans the width of the home. One bedroom and one bath is featured in the two storied home that consists of approximately 1,469 square feet of usable living space. The open concept floor plan in combination with the outdoor space and double set of French doors assist in bringing the outdoors in and makes for some pretty spectacular entertaining space. There is a warming fireplace in the corner of the great room and the U-shaped kitchen is open to both the dining and great room. A peninsula breakfast bar makes for companionable casual dining and there is plenty of additional counter and cabinet space available. A Murphy bed is cleverly designed into the rear space of the main living area providing additional sleeping space for family members and friends.
Beyond the open concept is private space for sleeping and bathing; there is a spacious bedroom with great window views and the adjacent bath contains a vanity space, toilet area and a shower. The rear of the home has a large laundry room with room for a sink area, pantry storage and there is a rear access point off the hallway. The T-shaped staircase off the great room leads to the second floor loft space with overviews into the dining space below. The space measures in excess of 20’x 21’, and would be perfect for additional sleeping space, a reading nook or an artist’s studio.
