About This Plan

This Log house plan is an exciting blend of rustic exterior features and an efficient floor plan perfect as a “forever” home or weekend getaway for a small family, young couple or anyone looking to enjoy the great outdoors. The rustic Log exterior is highlighted with timbered logs; honey colored, rich in character and expressive in design. The façade also features an abundance of fabulous window views allowing for a sun drenched interior and panoramic views onto the outdoors. Amazing outdoor space is featured on the exterior as well where there is a deeply set front covered porch lined with open railing and an adjacent timbered deck. The outdoor space is perfect for greeting family and friends, relaxing while star gazing and enjoying a host of family fun activities. The interior features approximately 1,830 square feet of living space that incorporates an open layout, two bedrooms and two baths into the home. The front covered porch features a practical entrance into the home; a large mudroom where storage of outdoor gear, muddy boots and assorted other outdoor equipment can be easily stored. The open floor concept is highlighted with a large living room with corner fireplace and French door access onto the deck. Beyond the living space is the dining area and kitchen; the dining room is spacious and could hold a farmhouse table for family style dining. There is a secondary entrance off the front covered porch into the dining room; a nice alternative to entering the home. The kitchen features a breakfast bar with additional seating arrangements and a huge food storage pantry. There are two bedrooms on this floor; each is spacious with window views and ample closet space. The shared hall bath contains a double sink vanity, a tub/shower combination and a toilet area.

The second floor of the home highlights beautiful overviews of the living space below and offers a large amount of additional space. There is a large loft/library space running the length of the home; this space is extremely versatile and could be configured as any number of uses depending on family needs. The space could be used as a bunking room for sleeping bags for the grandchildren, a multi-purpose family entertaining space, a home office/study or an artist’s studio. There is a second bath also featuring double sinks and a tub/shower combination. At the far end of the loft space is an outdoor space accessed through French doors; all in all, excellent and flexible utilization of space is found on the second floor of the home. This Log home design features a casual and relaxed lifestyle, a functional floor plan and an abundance of outdoor space.
