Cabin built from 6x6 logs.
This Log Cabin house design is the perfect complement to a Lakefront or Mountain property lot with its rustic charm exterior and great family layout. Vacation get-away or permanent residence, this house plan offers great space to return to after a day of hiking, fishing or hunting. The exterior features a large front covered porch with decorative railing that expands the width of the home, a simple construction log exterior and a sloped roofline. The interior floor plan is highlighted with approximately 1,452 square feet of living space that features two bedrooms, one bath and an overhead loft in the 1.5 storied home. The house plan is ideally suited for a narrow and/or small property lot with its respective width and depth dimensions of 34’ and 26’. There is a coat closet and entry foyer once you access the home off the front covered porch before you step into the large living room with cathedral ceilings and wonderful window views. The kitchen also features cathedral ceilings for dramatic effect and a heightened sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is highlighted with good counter and cabinet space along with the laundry nook. Located directly off the kitchen is access onto the rear carport which spans the width of the home offering good vehicle and storage space. Travelling the hallway is a nice sized den area; this room could function as a small child’s bedroom, a home office/study or as a multi-purpose family room. There is a hall bathroom that features an enclosed linen closet, a vanity space, toilet area and a tub/shower combination.
Two bedrooms are situated at the end of the home; the second bedroom features great window views and plentiful closet space. The master bedroom offers double window views overlooking the front covered porch, wall-to-wall closet space and private access into the bathroom. The overhead loft is quite spacious, measuring in excess of 13’ x 20’, and there is a large closet as well. This would make the perfect spot for children or grandchildren to enjoy sleeping or as a reading library. Double storage rooms that match the width of the loft are located on either side of the loft for excellent storage of family items or conversion to additional living space. This home design is a great choice for a vacation get-away or as a permanent residence for a small family or couple who enjoys the prospect of living in a purposeful manner within a natural setting.
