This Log cabin Cottage house design is a perfect escape from everyday living and a place to relax and unwind comfortably. An ideal setting for the home would be deep in the woods or a mountaintop property lot and the 24’ width and 18’ depth make the home perfect for a small or narrow lot. Intentional and purposeful living is of prime importance in the one-bedroom, one bath home and yet, the home contains all the creature comforts of much larger and more expensive homes. The 1.5 storied home offers approximately 744 square feet of usable living space within a log frame exterior comprised of 6x8 logs. A step-up front covered porch offers shelter from the elements and a relaxing space in which to read, relax and/or enjoy the company of “Mother Nature.” Decorative open railing, exposed rafters, and a decorative A-frame gable give the home charm and character. The expansive front porch leads into the home where an open concept living and dining space is revealed. A large living room features comfortable space to relax and/or entertain in and the fully functional kitchen provides a plethora of modern conveniences along with a peninsula bar for casual dining.
The master suite spans the width of the rear of the home providing a large master bedroom with wonderful window views and an attached walk-in master closet. There is private access to the bathroom which features a linen closet, toilet area, a separate shower, and a gorgeous garden tub. A ladder extension from the living space allows for access onto the overhead loft area; this is a large area with the potential to be used as any number of functional spaces; additional sleeping quarters, an artist’s studio or craft/hobby room. Multiple window views and an overview of the main living spaces below add to the warmth and character of the space. Ideal for single living or a couple’s retreat, this home features great space and a practical and fully functional floor plan where “roughing it” will be thoroughly enjoyed.
