About This Plan

The intersection of rustic charm and functional space are highlighted in this Mountain plan design. The exterior façade of the home demands a serene lakefront or mountain view property setting with its commanding design features. There are multiple window dormers, a simple gabled roof line with decorative timber trusses and gorgeous stonework that complement the wraparound porch. The porch, in fact, wraps entirely around the home and gives a sense of comfort and warmth to the structure, not to mention, the practicality of outdoor entertaining and dining space. A trio of barn inspired doors highlights the front of the home providing balance and symmetry which adds to the charm of the home’s exterior façade. There are approximately 725 square feet of living space in the home’s interior which includes one bedroom and one bath. This house plan is ideally suited for a vacation home, young couple’s home or as a writer’s or artist’s studio. The bridge to the home comes to rest directly in front of one of the trio of barn doors which provides entrance into the home. An enormous open space measuring 36’x19’ can be configured in a series of design spaces to include living, dining and sleeping. In addition to the wide open space, there is a side wall of counter space and two additional access points onto the wraparound porch from the side and rear of the home. A fully equipped bathroom includes a toilet, vanity and stand along shower with a fourth access point onto the porch. There is a primitive styled staircase leading from the porch to the rear of the home. This unique home features great interior space along with outdoor space which forges an environment in which purposeful living and creating co-mingle.
