What's not included: House plans do not typically include mechanical, plumbing, or truss drawings. Additionally, some jurisdictions require a local architect or engineer to make adjustments to the plan to comply with local building codes. We advise you to check with your local building department regarding codes. For more information, visit the What's Included in Our Plans page.
This cozy Cottage house design provides an oasis from everyday living and a place to escape modern life and completely relax and unwind. The home could be used as an upscale hunting and fishing cottage or conversely, as a home to develop solitary contemplation for writing, drawing or recharging your batteries. The attractive façade is comprised of horizontal siding, a sliding roofline that cascades and covers the porch on the front exterior while simultaneously protecting the screened porch on the rear exterior. The front covered porch also boasts of open railing, columned beams and is a lovely spot for relaxing and/or greeting family and friends. There are approximately 400 square feet of usable living space that contains one bedroom and one bath with the added bonus of 20’ width and 32’ depth dimensions, perfect for a small and/or narrow lot whether situated deep in the woods, overlooking a tranquil lake or atop a mountain property lot. The front covered porch and rear screened porch are mirror sized; both measure 20’x6’ and feature good relaxing space and the rear porch could be used as additional sleeping quarters during nice weather. The front porch grants access into the home’s interior where an open floor plan is revealed; there is a large living room and spacious rear positioned kitchen. The kitchen is highlighted with a peninsula bar, perfect for casual dining and there is a separate pantry, plenty of counter and cabinet space and room for a stackable washer and dryer. The bunk room measures in excess of 7’x13’ and could hold a combination of sleeping arrangements; a futon, bunk beds, a single bed or various configurations of all. To the rear of the bedroom is a full bath with vanity space, a toilet area and a tub/shower combination. This is a small home with large potential to be utilized as any number of different housing options including a vacation home, a hunting/fishing cottage or an artist’s studio.
