    -Crawlspace: Crawlspace is a type of foundation which includes an accessible space with limited headroom, typically between the soil and the bottom of the first floor of a home. Crawlspace construction is predominant in areas where there is heavy clay content in the soil, where the home owner needs additional under-home storage space, or the homeowner needs access to pipes, wiring, etc. under the floor of the home.
    -Basement: Basement is a type of foundation which includes an accessible space between the soil and the bottom of the first floor of a home. It usually has more headroom than a Crawlspace. Basement foundation construction is predominant in cold climates where the foundation needs to be situated below the frost level.

About This Plan

This Traditional house design features an assortment of modern amenities for a young professional couple just beginning their journey or empty nesters desiring to downsize their lifestyle. The single story home contains approximately 874 square feet of living space consisting of two bedrooms and one bath. A striking exterior façade is highlighted with low maintenance brick, plentiful window views, a turret inspired wall feature and a front covered porch. The home’s drawings come complete with a basement foundation which precisely mirrors the main floor’s usable living space. Endless possibilities abound as to the lower level expansion purposes; a second entertaining area, a hobby/craft room or an additional bedroom and bath could be easily added. A complete teen-ager suite or in-law apartment could be configured in the space providing much needed assistance with an elderly or infirmed family member. The width and depth dimensions, 26’ and 34’ respectively are conveniently suited for a narrow and/or small lot. The greeting foyer houses a large coat closet and the staircase to the lower level before opening onto the spacious living room.
