About This Plan

A stunning Mountain House Plan features an amazingly attractive exterior façade and plenty of interior space for a large and/or growing family. The organic exterior is composed of cedar, substantial wood beams atop stone pillars, triple window dormers and an extensive front covered porch. The porch is an ideal greeting spot for family, friends and neighbors and showcases the spaciousness of the home. There are in excess of 2,550 square feet of living space within the home’s interior which incorporates five bedrooms and four baths comfortably into the space. The 1.5 storied home offers double overhead lofts; one located in the main house and the other located over the garage. The main house loft is accessed from the second story staircase through an elongated hall balcony overlooking the great room below. The loft is located at the opposite end of the hallway and is highlighted with a huge amount of space to include a bath, storage and plenty of room for additional sleeping space; this area could also be utilized as a home office/study or artist’s studio. The second loft space is situated over the two car front entry garage with stair access up to the space; once again, there is generous space for numerous uses and a large bathroom with double vanities. The garage is quite large with double storage rooms attached and access to an outdoor shower for ease of clean-up before accessing the walkway to the main house.

The 10’ covered front porch grants access into the home’s interior where wide open spaces and a split bedroom plan are revealed. The double door entrance leads directly into the home’s great room where beam trusses, a large warming fireplace, built-ins and French door access onto the rear porch are highlighted. The rear porch is an excellent secondary outdoor space; covered, large with a summer grilling porch and there is a subsequent massive sized outdoor living porch. The indoor kitchen and dining space are extraordinarily large and cleverly designed to open onto the great room while providing plenty of space for entertaining and gracious family living. The dining space is juxtapositioned between the great room and kitchen while the grand kitchen features a substantial 42” high bar with loads of additional seating, a corner walk-in pantry and plenty of cabinet and counter space. The master suite offers a luxurious collection of rooms; there is a large master bedroom with vaulted ceilings and private access onto the rear covered porch. The en suite master bath features dual vanities, a large shower with seating and a compartmentalized toilet before connecting to his and her walk-in closets. At the rear of the space is a large utility room. The remaining two bedrooms feature generous floor space, plentiful closet space and the rear bedroom features access onto the rear porch. There is a shared hall bath with double sinks, a tub/shower combination and flanking closets in the hallway; one a linen closet, the other a storage/coat closet. This home offers an attractive exterior façade, a functional interior layout and plenty of additional space for flexible expansion.
