Whats Included In Your House Plan Order
America's Best House Plans, Inc. has a large collection of home plans from some of the nations leading architects and home designers. All of our plans are drawn by professionals and to meet the building codes at the time they were drawn. When purchasing a set of house plans you will be ready to start building. However, in some state's and counties you will need a stamp of approval from an engineer before building. America's Best House Plans suggest you speak with your local building officials as to what is required for building in your region. Below we have listed what is typically included when you purchase a house plan on our site. However, not all plans are drawn just alike, so please contact us if you need to know exactly what will be included in your order.
Front, Sides, and Rear Elevations
The elevation sheets will typically be the front, side, and rear elevations with rafter framing details and misc exterior details
Foundation Plan
Typical foundation plans can be slab, basement, or crawlspace foundations
Floor Plans
Consist of the interior layout of the plan with dimensions, window and door sizes, and general notes
Roof Plan
Shows roof pitches, gables, ridges and valleys...some of our plans offer roof framing plans, however, we suggest you check your local building codes to make sure you meet code
Cross Sections
Cuts the house in sections to show walls, ceiling heights, roof heights, etc.
Electrical Plans
Generic electrical plan suggesting locations for outlets, fixtures, and switches. Please be advised a limited number of our plans do not have electrical plans, so please contact us for find out if your house plan will come with an this plan
Interior Elevations
Shows kitchen cabinet, bathroom vanities and miscellaneous interior details
