  • four exterior views - front, rear and both sides
  • interior elevations for all cabinets
  • electrical plan - may be included as part of floor plan but is usually a separate drawing
  • electrical symbols
  • Sections through the building that illustrates the construction configuration
  • Details - includes cornice, fireplace, typical section, cabinet construction and other items that may need special detailing
  • Specifications which includes the type materials specified in the construction plus interior finish schedules, cost allowance schedules, plumbing and electrical schedules.

What's not included:  House plans do not typically include mechanical, plumbing, or truss drawings. Additionally, some jurisdictions require a local architect or engineer to make adjustments to the plan to comply with local building codes. About This Plan

To be in the woods, overlooking a serene lake or atop a mountain is a grand adventure and this traditional Cottage plan features an attractive exterior specifically suited for such an adventure. Simple construction with rich detailing highlights the exterior where a gable roof, exposed rafters, a front covered porch and low country window shutters outline the façade wonderfully. The covered porch features walk-up steps and open exposure along with columned beam support. The interior floor plan is fully functional and complete with one bedroom and one bath in 569 square feet of usable living space. The width and depth dimensions, 20’ and 39’, respectively, make this cottage house design perfect for a small and/or narrow lot and the home’s compact and efficient layout is designed for purposeful and intentional living where a young couple or individual can get away for the weekend or forever. The covered porch measures 20’x8’ and allows access into the combination living and dining spaces.
